Angel Food Ministries
What Is Angel Food?
Angel Food is a nonprofit, nondenominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities all across the country. This is accomplished through “Host Sites” in local communities, generally churches.
How Is the Food Provided?
Food is provided in “units”. Each food unit sells for $30 and contains both fresh and frozen top quality food items with an average retail value of $60. The food is not “seconds” or overruns and never contains outdated items. We provide food once each month on what we call “Distribution Day”. You receive your food at the location where you placed your order.
How Much Food Do I Get?
Each box of food will assist in feeding a family of four for about one week, or a single individual for almost a month!
How Do I Participate?
Simply place an order for Angel Food in person during our published order times. You provide payment at the time that you place your order and receive a receipt for the food that you have ordered.
Angel Food Host Sites accept cash, money orders or cashier’s checks for payment. Sorry, per national policy we cannot accept personal checks.
On Distribution Day (always a Saturday), you simply bring your receipt and a box, basket or cooler to receive your food.
You will have the opportunity to order food for the next month while you are picking up your current order. In this way, we cut your costs further by eliminating the time and gas needed for a second trip.
Who Can Participate?
EVERYONE! Angel Food is available to all with NO INCOME GUIDELINES and NO APPLICATION FEES. Any individual may order an unlimited number of food units each month.
What’s on the Menu?
Our menu changes each month. It always includes restaurant-quality meat, and fresh and frozen items from top quality national and regional food producers.
