LifePath Life Cycle

Reflect:
Often in our desire to press ahead in our spiritual walk, we do not take time to pause and reflect on the ways God has been directing our spiritual growth. There is great benefit in pausing to reflect on how God is working in our lives, in what ways we have or haven’t been connecting with Him, and ultimately deciding where we are in our relationship with God.  We encourage you take a “time out” to stop and reflect with God on your personal relationship with Him regularly.

Explore:
God desires to help you develop into a fully mature follower of Jesus. He wants you to reflect with Him often, explore new and different ways to experience His love, understand more about Him, and live more fully in Him. Sometimes we fall into a routine and never experience new ways to grow. LifePath is designed to help you explore new ways to grow and develop.  Let the PCC staff or a LifePath Coach help direct you on new ways to a more Intimate walk With Christ.

Map:
Spiritual life growth doesn’t happen by accident. It takes desire, intention, and surrender to God’s leading. The LifePath Spiritual Growth Plan will help you identify specific areas of future growth and focus on your spiritual walk for the next year. The Plan is used to discover where God wants to initiate change and helps you map specific goals for personal spiritual growth areas. Assembling this growth plan is easy. Life-Coaches are available to help you. To find a coach, contact a PCC staff member.

Walk:
The most important part of the LifePath process begins after all the reflecting, exploring, and mapping is done. It happens when you start walking in faith and in the Spirit to let God complete His great work in you. God is intimately interested in your spiritual walk and His Spirit lives in you to guide and empower you. Share your completed Spiritual Growth Plan with a friend. By Sharing your Plan, you can enlist them to be praying for you, encouraging you, and holding you accountable.

Now what?

Repeat the process all over again! God is calling us to continually Reflect, Explore, Map, and Walk for our entire lives. He desires us to grow in a balanced way in our five LifePursuits, moving continually closer to Him! This cycle keeps you growing on a lifetime journey with Christ. Allow this framework to help, encourage and support your relationship with Christ!  We encourage you to keep your Plan handy and review your goals and action steps every 120 days.

LifePath Pursuits

Once we’ve reflected on our walk, we are ready to explore opportunities to grow in intimacy with Him.  We connect with God in five ways. While everyone uses all the Pursuits to draw closer to God, most discover they find Him through some pursuits more than others. Depending on where you are in your walk, God may be calling you to increase your focus on those which come most naturally or to stretch yourself and discover God through a different LifePursuit. Read through the pursuits to discern which one best describes how you normally connect with God, then prayerfully consider how God might be calling you to grow closer to Him.

Connect: Some people feel God’s Spirit more through genuine community. Pursuing God through feeling and enjoying the love and relationships of other Christians might be how you primarily connect with God.   Intentionally finding community will be important for you.  Attending one of our several Sunday morning Bible Classes, joining a small group, or participating in any one of a number of service ministries will provide you great connection points here at PCC.

Grow: Growing in the knowledge of God is another way many   Christians find their intimacy deepens with Christ. If this describes you or is a way God is calling you to draw closer to Him, we encourage you to discover the many growth opportunities at PCC including Sunday morning Bible Classes (9:30), Wednesday evening electives (7:00), Small Groups programs (various nights), Men’s and Women’s studies. There are many opportunities for growth at PCC.

Serve: Is Christ’s presence most intimate when you’re able to serve as Christ’s hands and feet? Finding a renewed joy and intimacy with Christ comes when believers are able to serve. Serving allows us to be used by God to impact His kingdom and often brings a stronger sense of His presence. We encourage you to explore the many Serve opportunities here at PCC. Opportunities can be found through contacting our staff.

Reach: Many people are evangelistic and don’t even know it. Sharing what God is doing in our lives, what it means to be a Christian, or just being able to reach out to others can connect us to God. Carryingout His commission to others is an amazing way to grow in intimacy. PCC offers many Reach opportunities.

Celebrate: Worshiping God is an awesome way to connect with God. Praising the name of Jesus ushers Him into our presence and allows us to feel His amazing love. Intimately connect with God through Worship. Along with Sunday morning services, consider the PCC Prayer Ministry or Worship Ministry.
